About Us
Linn Benton Community College embraces
diversity and looks forward serving your educational interests and goals.
Linn Benton Community College's enrollment serves nearly 23,000 individuals per year. We have over 5000 students enrolled in the Degree Partnership Program between LBCC and OSU.
Mission
The mission of the College is to provide accessible, quality, lifelong learning opportunities to serve the present and future needs of the community.
Location (about the region)
LBCC is located in Albany, Oregon, between the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east in the beautiful Willamette Valley. The college is approximately 70 miles south of Portland, 10 miles east of Corvallis where Oregon State University is located, and 40 miles north of Eugene and University Of Oregon.
Session Length and Program Hours
We are on a quarter system consisting
of 4 terms: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.
Each quarter is typically 11 weeks in length.
Levels
LBCC students may select from several undergraduate degree options, the Associate of Science, Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer or the Associate of General Studies Degree. We also offer
Professional Technical and Trade Degrees
along with One and Two Year Certificate Programs.
Class Size
Our average class size is 30 students.
We offer many services to students to help them succeed:
Our Learning Center offers immediate assistance in math,writing, hours are available for assistance in physics and chemistry. You may sign up for up to two hours of free tutoring a week during the school year.
Faculty Qualifications
Our faculty are teachers in the finest sense of the word, dedicated to their students success. You will find our
instructors current and well connected in their field.
Credit Courses
All our credit courses are listed on our web site through Schedule of Classes.
Courses with a number of 100 or higher
transfer to universities.
Housing
We offer no on-campus housing for LBCC students but there are apartments, houses and rooms for rent in Albany and Corvallis. Many of our international students live in Corvallis and take the loop bus to the Albany campus, a free service with your Student ID card. Students may also take classes in Corvallis at the Benton Center. If you are a Degree Partnership Student you are able to live in the dorms at OSU on a first come first served basis.
Special Offerings
Free public bus service is provided for current students between Corvallis, Albany
and the surrounding communities.

There is a $100.00 non-refundable LBCC International Application fee in U.S. currency.

Tuition is assessed at $200 per credit hour for LBCC Classes.
The LBCC/OSU Degree Partnership Application is a non-refundable $50.00 fee.

Degree Partnership students will be charged the above price for LBCC Classss and the OSU rate for OSU Classes, plus student fees.

You must complete the application process at least 90 days before the start of classes if you are applying from outside the U.S. or at least 30 days before the start of class if you are already in the U.S. and transfering from another U.S. College or University. International students coming from abroad need to apply for a visa.
