About Us
Ed King III founded Oak Hill School in 1994. Oak Hill is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational day school serving students from kindergarten through grade twelve. Oak Hill is accredited by the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools, and is licensed by the state of Oregon. Oak Hill School does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, color, gender, or religion.
Mission
Oak Hill School provides a rigorous college preparatory program for motivated students, challenging each one to develop his or her intellectual and creative abilities. Oak Hill's culture inspires students to contribute responsibly to the community, form a good personal character, and embrace a lifelong love of learning. To provide a richer learning environment, Oak Hill seeks a student body that is diverse in race, culture and gender.
Location (about the region)
Eugene, Oregon.
Facilities on campus: gymnasium, soccer field, baseball field, amphitheater, pond, vegetable garden, walking trails, etc. on 72 acres of forested land, all owned free and clear
The POI in the surrounding area/community: University of Oregon and its internationally renowned sports facilities including Hayward Field (sites of 2008 and 2012 US track & field Olympic trials), Hult Center for Performing Arts, Shedd Institutes of Arts, the Pacific Ocean, many outdoor activities along Willamette and McKenzie rivers, Coastal Range and Cascade Mountains including the Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort and Crater Lake National Park

Community Service: 70 hours required for graduation. Many more hours encouraged. Students in grades 6-12 participate in a service-oriented Winterim program between semesters. During this time, students travel locally and internationally to complete service learning activities
