About Us
Clackamas Community College is a 2-year institution located in a safe city about fifteen miles south of Portland, Oregon, amid rolling farmland in view of Mt. Hood. The location and setting of the college is diverse and offers something of interest for almost anyone. Our campus is conveniently located in a historic community with close proximity and easy access to a large metropolitan area, the lovely ocean beaches of the Oregon Coast, and the spectacular Cascade Mountains.

There is no TOEFL required for admission to Clackamas. Students will be tested for English levels when they arrive at the college. If the student needs more English to prepare for college classes, the student will enter the Program for Intensive English. Students who do not need English will enter the college directly and choose from a variety of academic and professional/technical degrees and certificates.
Mission
Our purpose is creating lifetime opportunities for success through responsive education. Our mission/philosophy is to serve people with high quality education and training opportunities that are accessible to all students, adaptable to changing needs, and accountable to the community we serve.
Location (about the region)
Clackamas Community College is located in the greater Portland metropolitan area in Oregon City at the end of the historic Oregon Trail. Oregon City has a low crime rate and is a safe community. Bus service between Portland and the college is available.

Portland is well known for having good shopping opportunities with no sales tax. Also, Portland is famous for its good restaurants and active art and music community. It is easy to find interesting things to do in town, but it is also only a short drive from the beautiful Oregon coast or the mountains, where you can enjoy a variety of winter sports opportunities such as snowboarding or skiing. In addition, there are many fine golf courses in the area.

Students admitted to the Program for Intensive English (PIE) take the equivalent of 18 credit hours. Full time PIE students receive a waiver of tuition or fees for one 3-hour class, so their costs can be as low as $2650 per term. International students admitted to the college must take at least 12 credit hours. The approximate cost for 12 credits is less than $2650, but may vary due to a student's choice of classes and course fees.
